I purchased Volvo’s 2018 flagship plug-in hybrid T8 XC60. Sticker Price: $70,000! Within months, the car began suffering one malfunction after another. Countless trips to the dealer! The car has spent approximately 2+ months in service over 1.5 years of ownership. Wish I bought a German luxury car!

I’ve owned my Volvo XC60 since September of 2017 and it’s been an awesome time. It lives up to its reputation of being Safe, Reliable, and Stylish (it turns heads!). It has a very attractive exterior body, and a very pleasing interior, nothing can outweigh the stereo and infotainment system. The seats are the highest grade of comfort, and the trunk provides much room as well as a large rear window for visibility. Overall, I’ve totaled 12,000 miles, 3 out of state trips, and have driven many of my friends and family in this car, and these times are irreplaceable. Unfortunately, because the family’s having trouble with money and house payments, we’ve decided to trade it in and get an older 2011 Volvo C30 that will be more affordable. I definitely would love to keep this car, but I’m at least glad the Volvo C30 is not too much different in terms of style and performance than the Volvo XC60. Highly recommend, but before purchasing, make sure you have the money, the gas isn’t expensive, but the asking price can be a little overwhelming, especially if you loan or lease!

First they told me that my car was made in Sweden, I am smart enough to know that LV on the VIN means China. I want a Volvo made in Sweden - that is just me.... I have had many Volvo's, if you sell them they should not be made in Chengdu. Second, the mirror vibrates, the dashboard rattles, there is trim that is misaligned on the body, the rotors are already rusting and the front end vibrates. I don't necessarily blame this on being made in China, but long term I have a sneaking suspicion that these are going to be a disaster. These are items that should not be happening in a vehicle that costs $68,000 - and probably costs Volvo's handlers about $20,000 to build in Chengdu. Sorry I've been a long time Volvo owner going back to the 240 wagon as a first car and I will not be back.
