At Volvo Marin, we stand behind the Volvo brand and all the new Volvo, but we also stand behind when it's time to make a change. Volvo is ready to transform.

"When I joined Volvo a year ago," says Volvo Group head of design Thomas Ingenlath, "some people described Volvo's design as Vanilla. In other words, nice but not iconic or cutting edge. The vanilla days are over."1

They sure are. We caught a glimpse of the Volvo C Coupe Concept that will dazzle many at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month. It's sleek and its definition is sharper than we've ever seen. This is iconic. This is cutting edge.

After Ford sold Volvo to Chinese automaker Geely, we've noticed Volvo's shifting gears with design. That includes all-new four-cylinders for future Volvos as well as a new platform for larger Vovlo vehicles. Now, it's also possible that Geely will hit the U.S. market--that means we could see more of what Volvo has in store for its customers.

There are already some phenomenal ideas milling around. Remember the prototype car that parked itself? Owners can simply reach their destination, let their vehicle park itself, and use a smartphone app to call it back to pick the owner up.

To bring the theme of a new look back full-circle, check out the concept car here for yourself: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efiPbdNyhTc&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLnQowESnmpOdW1pitM67Kl0hHTSXA9cWg).
