Recently, Volvo announced an increase in sales for the month of September, showing that these Swedish masterpieces still have a place in American culture.
Last month, the automaker sold a total of 5,615 vehicles, an increase of 1.6% from September 2015. Additionally, Volvo has seen a 26.2% year-over-year increase solidifying its place in the automotive arena.
Recently, Volvo announced a partnership with Autoliv, a leader in automotive safety systems, to focus on developing and producing autonomous driving software.
Both companies plan to merge and set up headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, utilizing employees from both sides at its new office.
The joint-venture will develop advanced driver assistance systems that are scheduled for a 2019 release and autonomous drive systems available set to release in 2021.
